Sports Day 4 Grown-Ups has received great community support and publicity this year. More energy went into promotions and strategic partnerships. Our efforts were successful as we were able to align with VancityBuzz, NAAAP Vancouver, No Longer Bored, Vancouver Public Space Network, Vancouver Charity Guide. Unfortunately even with the support of our community partners, sponsors and affiliates and with the added promotional efforts we were unable to draw in as many team registrations as we had anticipated at this point. In light of this issue, our volunteer team carefully discussed options and spoke with Take a Hike to assess the best course of action given this situation. After confirmation that cancelling the event would not be detrimental to any of the partnering organization in any way, we have decided the best choice is to postpone the event until next summer to make it bigger and better.
